Hours of service

All pickups and drop offs are by appointment only. Appointments are available during the following times:

Mon-Wed 4-6PM
Th-Fri: 4-5PM as available
Sat: 10-12AM
Sun: limited availability

Service time

All repairs are first come, first serve. Accommodations for gigging musicians/ emergencies will be handled when possible.

Expect 2-3 weeks+ for amps to be done. All parts have to be ordered, and take over a week to arrive. Overnight delivery for parts is available for astronomical shipping charges.

Labor rate

Labor rate is as follows:

$125/ hour, minimum of 1 hour

It usually takes an hour of time to take an amp apart and troubleshoot or reset power tube bias, and put it back together.

Some repairs can take a considerable amount of time, and resolving one problem can reveal others. We will discuss how much you can or want to spend on a piece of equipment as early in the process as possible.

Things I Can DO

Examples:

• Repair on most tube and some solid-state gear

• Power tube biasing when tubes are changed

• Vintage amp restorations and value estimation

• Pro audio (limited-call to discuss)

• Wurlitzer Electric Piano repair and restoration

• Steel guitar service (pedal and lap/ non-pedal)

• Guitar electronics repair and upgrades

• Hand-wired reproduction builds of classic Fender amps. Call for details and models available

I am willing to look at anything, and if I can fix it, I will take the job

Things I Currently don’t do

This list is ever-evolving

• Printed circuit boards with wave-soldered components

• Most pedal repair, with the exception of rare or collectable vintage items or vintage items worth more than $500

• Mesa Boogie amps- these need to be shipped to a factory service center

• Hi-Fi equipment

• Printed circuit board repair on boards where the components have caused excessive heat damage
